Recognised as one of the leading dual career structures in the world, TASS has been generating and disseminating knowledge about supporting student athletes for several years. In 2019, following a rapid growth in dual career research, TASS expanded this area of its work. In addition to continuing to fund a number of PhDs, the TASS Research Group was created with the aim to collaborate on dual career projects and to apply the findings of the research to the TASS network to better support talented athletes in education.
This year TASS is supporting more than 600 talented young athletes from 32 different sports based across England. With funding from Sport England, we’re able to continue to help the next generation on their journeys as they target the Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games and the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games.
